Inspire for Teens

PREPARE/ENRICH Inspire is an experiential, skills-based group program for teens based on key findings from PREPARE/ENRICH studies.  The most current research ("PREPARE" component) is provided for Facilitators to present in manageable segments within 10 lessons.  This research is made relevant to teens by "Inspire" questions, which provide an invitation to reflect on the nature of their subjective experiences related to the presented topic.  The "ENRICH" component consists of activities that expand on research, thus extending learning.  These activities are designed to engage a variety of learning styles (visual, auditory, kinesthetic) as well as to provide opportunities for different learning modes, such as art, research, and technology.

The PREPARE/ENRICH-Inspire for Teens curriculum:

  • Contains 10 lesson plans, reproducible Worksheets, Handouts and Game Cards, PowerPoint Presentations on CD, and Pre/Post Assessments for each lesson.
  • Includes a 60-item assessment that can be used to determine focus of the class and/or measure knowledge gained and impact of class (pre/post).
  • Student Journals (priced separately)
  • Objectives were written to fulfill FACS (Family and Consumer Science) national standards.
